As a kid I devoured Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Crunch Bars — and don’t get me started on Bunch-a-Crunch from the movie theater. I’ve always loved crunchy textures and peanut butter-filled candy, so I combined both favorites into a simple homemade treat: Peanut Butter Crunch Cups.
These Peanut Butter Crunch Cups are a tasty hybrid of a Reese’s and a Crunch Bar. Made with semi-sweet chocolate, Rice Krispies cereal, and creamy peanut butter, this four-ingredient, no-bake recipe is quick to make and ideal for Halloween or any time you want an easy, crowd-pleasing homemade candy.

Ingredients needed for Peanut Butter Crunch Cups!
This recipe requires just four pantry-friendly ingredients. The finished cups are crunchy, chocolatey, and filled with creamy peanut butter — a perfect combo that’s low effort and high reward.
- Chocolate chips: I prefer semi-sweet mini chocolate chips for texture and meltability, but use any chocolate you like — 1 cup.
- Rice Krispies cereal: Rice Krispies add the crunchy texture that mimics a classic crunch bar — 1 cup.
- Peanut butter: Smooth peanut butter works best for the filling. Use about 1 teaspoon per cup, or roughly 1/4 cup total for easier measuring.
- Refined coconut oil: A small amount of refined coconut oil (1 tsp) helps the chocolate melt smoothly and become easier to work with. You can substitute another neutral oil if you prefer.

Kitchen tools needed for Homemade Halloween Candy…
You won’t need many tools to make these no-bake cups. The essential item is a mini muffin tin to shape the cups. A silicone mini muffin pan works especially well because the cups pop out easily, but a standard mini tin is fine too.
Other useful tools:
- Rubber spatula
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cups and spoons

How to make Homemade Peanut Butter Cups…
This recipe is straightforward and quick. No baking required — just melting, mixing, filling, and chilling.
- Begin by melting the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Use a double boiler over low heat or microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
- Once melted, transfer the chocolate to a mixing bowl and gently fold in the Rice Krispies until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Use a mini muffin tin and spoon small amounts of the chocolate-cereal mixture into each cup, filling each about halfway. This will form the bottom chocolate layer.
- Add roughly 1 teaspoon of peanut butter into the center of each cup, keeping it away from the edges so the top layer can fully cover it.
- Spoon the remaining chocolate-cereal mixture over the peanut butter, pressing and spreading gently to fully enclose the peanut butter filling.
- Place the tray in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until the cups are set and firm.
- Remove the cups from the tin and enjoy. Store extras in the refrigerator for best texture.

How to store this Peanut Butter Cup Recipe…
Store Peanut Butter Crunch Cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Kept cold, they stay fresh for up to two weeks. They’re an ideal grab-and-go treat when a sweet craving hits.
