This refreshing raspberry daiquiri balances sweet and tangy flavors perfectly. With just four ingredients, it’s quick and easy to make.

When warm weather arrives I reach for bright, fruity cocktails like a Miami Vice, a raspberry lime rickey, or Sea Breeze. One of my favorites is this raspberry daiquiri. It’s fruity, slightly tart, and incredibly simple. Compared to a strawberry daiquiri it’s a touch more tart — if raspberries aren’t at their peak, add a bit more sugar to the syrup to balance the flavor. This cocktail is perfect for dinner parties, pool days, quiet nights with a book, or celebrations like Valentine’s Day. Its pretty pink hue makes it especially festive.
Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips

- Rum: I prefer white rum for a clean, bright flavor. Bacardi or Plantation work well.
- Lime Juice: Use freshly squeezed lime juice. Choose limes that feel heavy for their size — they’ll yield more juice.
- Raspberries: Look for bright, plump berries. Smaller raspberries often taste sweeter. Frozen berries are a good substitute when fresh ones are out of season.
Krystle’s Tips
- Out-of-season raspberries? Add a bit more sugar to the simple syrup and taste as you go.
- Get more lime juice: Microwave limes for 20–30 seconds and roll them on the counter before juicing.
- Avoid a watered-down drink: Use frozen raspberries in place of ice so the cocktail stays flavorful as you sip.
No cocktail shaker?
No problem — use a mason jar with a tight lid and shake until combined.

Notes
Ingredient Notes and Shopping Tips
- Rum: White rum keeps the drink light; Bacardi or Plantation are good choices.
- Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed gives the best bright acidity.
- Raspberries: Fresh and ripe are ideal; frozen work well and can double as chilling agents.
Krystle’s Tips
- If raspberries are tart, add more sugar to the syrup and taste as you go.
- Microwaving limes for 20–30 seconds and rolling them helps release more juice.
- No shaker? A mason jar with a tight lid works perfectly.
- Use frozen raspberries instead of ice to avoid diluting the cocktail.
- Serve in a chilled stemmed glass for an elegant presentation.
