In this post you’ll find the recipe for a kombucha cocktail flavored with ginger, peach and mint — truly unique!
It’s that time of year again: outdoor dinners, friends, laughter, cocktails and ice cream.
It’s Saturday and I couldn’t be happier — tonight I’m hosting a small gathering. Homemade food (made by me!) will be the centerpiece. I’ll bake 3 or 4 super-soft focacce Barese (the same one I shared last year) and top them with cherry tomatoes, olives and maybe some prosciutto (Enrico is a prosciutto addict and he’ll be thrilled to be mentioned here!).
Friends will bring drinks and perhaps some ice cream.
These evenings are my favorite: good food and great conversation.
As I wrote last year in the focaccia post, I’m not a nightclub person. I prefer two friends, ice cream and many laughs — or a movie night with my boyfriend. Give me pizza and company and I’m the happiest person.
Cocktail with kombucha — a safe bet

I’ll be honest: I do enjoy an occasional drink — good wine, beer or a Spritz. But tonight I felt like something non-alcoholic. A few days ago I thought, “Why not make a cocktail with kombucha and fresh fruit?”
Have you tried kombucha? I tasted it for the first time about a year ago at the SANA fair in Bologna. It was a new flavor for me and I loved it right away.
I like making things at home, so I looked into how to brew kombucha myself. The process is a bit involved and I’m not sure I’d drink it often enough to take it on, so I ended up buying the ready-made bottles from organic shops.
A few days later I suddenly wanted to make a kombucha-based cocktail — and what a delight!
I had to share it.
Also an excuse for photos…
I admit it was also an excuse to take some pretty photos. I love food photography, and shooting drinks is wonderful: the light, shadows, reflections and sparkle make everything magical.
