How to make Blackstone Chopped Italian Subs
This recipe yields two subs and can easily be doubled or tripled for a crowd.
Begin by cutting ham, salami, and pepperoni into bite-size pieces. You can add any other favorite Italian deli meats if you like.
Arrange the diced meats on a tray along with seasonings, provolone slices, and your sub buns. Using a tray makes it easy to carry everything to the griddle and back.

Preheat the griddle to medium for a few minutes. Add a small amount of cooking oil of your choice, then spread the meats on the griddle.

Cook for a few minutes, tossing the meat a couple of times with hibachi spatulas so it browns evenly.

Once the meat is starting to crisp, form it into two equal piles roughly the size of your sub buns.

Season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes to taste, then top each pile with provolone slices so they melt over the meat.

While the cheese melts, toast the sub buns on the griddle if desired. This adds texture and warmth to the sandwich.

Serve Blackstone Chopped Italian Subs with toppings of choice

I kept mine simple with mayo, lettuce, and banana peppers. Other great options include pickles, Italian dressing, or sliced tomatoes.
